Current Favorite CC Cream Review & Demo: SUPERGOOP

Guys...

This CC Cream... Yeah, It's pretty amazing stuff.

I know, I know... The foundation kick I'm on continues (spoiler alert...It's only going to get worse in the coming weeks). BUT, out of all my latest discoveries, this may be the best.  I could go on and on about it and make this post super wordy and lengthy (restrain yourself, Tiffany... restrain yourself...).  So feel free to watch the video below for all the details and a demo to see exactly how the stuff actually covers and works.

Or, I can hit the high points for ya below if you don't have time to watch (definitely leaving out quite a bit that is covered in the video, but you get the idea).

PROS:
  • amazing coverage
  • doesn't leave any greasy residue and really "sets" to your skin
  • holds up super well on oily skin
  • versatile (can be used as a primer under foundation for more coverage, or on it's own)
  • feels clean and light
  • natural-looking
  • good ingredients and a good SPF
  • self-adjusting shades
  • a little goes a very long way

CONS:
  • I have to mix 2 shades to get my perfect shade (fair-light and light-medium)
  • only 3 shades to choose from (they're VERY different, hence mixing two)

So without saying, you can probably tell I love the stuff. It's definitely been my go-to product for weeks now. I like to replace my skincare in the morning with it (instead of using moisturizer/spf, I use this) and it perfects my skin enough to where I don't feel like I have to apply a ton of makeup afterward, or at all.  Most of the time, I'll apply my foundation over it and that works out great as well. Since it's not heavy at all and feels very "set" and, to me, almost primer-like, it works beautifully like this.

So have any of you guys tried this one?? What are your thoughts??

My Fav Sexy & Smokey FULL MAKEUP TUTORIAL

Let's face it, we all need a go-to makeup look. I'm finding that a variation of this look is definitely mine.
I love my makeup to look sexy, flattering, a little smokey... You definitely can't go wrong with that combo, in my opinion!
So today I decided to just turn the camera on and go for it. *Be prepared for a lot of details in this one... I left NOTHING out!
Seriously, this is my complete current makeup routine, start to finish for when I want to go for something a little sexier. This particular variation involves a bit of bronze, peach, and plum. One of my favorite eye shadow combos.
I hope you all love it!

Current Foundation Routine: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour Full Coverage

I have been on a little foundation-testing/reviewing roll lately.  So I'm back today with yet another...
However, this one is so so very different. In this video, I demo a foundation I've loved for quite a while now (and somehow never reviewed or demo-ed).  It's the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour Full Coverage foundation.
And it is glorious.

First of all, if you've been following my beauty adventures of late, you've seen that I went a little mineral-makeup-crazy for a while with Bare Minerals and the Tarte Airbrush Foundation.  Both great, but to me, there's just nothing that compares to a great liquid.
Lately, this Tarte liquid is at the top of my list.  It's just so easy and fast to apply and gives me the most natural, perfected look.

So I figured the best way to explain my thoughts on this foundation, from the best application method, to other products that work well with it, would be to compile a new little "current foundation routine" video.
Be sure to check it out below, and I hope you enjoy it!

"Naturally Pretty" Makeup Tutorial

Happy Friday, Loves! Today I wanted to share with you all my current, absolute favorite way to wear my makeup.  If you've watched any of my recent videos, this is very similar to that look I've been wearing (using all the same products). I had a lot of requests to do a tutorial for it, so here we are!

The look is so versatile and wearable anywhere, day or night, yet is super put-together and fun. It's one of those looks that will drive compliments wherever you go.  Well, definitely because it looks good, but I think mostly because it's one of those makeup looks that everyone wants to achieve. The colors are natural, the shades are all blended nicely, but this look is more than that. It's all about the placement in the crease and layering shades in a way where they "blend" themselves.
I love to share these types of looks because I think everyone can appreciate it. To me, this is definitely one of those looks that everyone should know how to do, because it always works and looks amazing!

The look itself is actually quite easy!  To see exactly how I get this "Naturally Pretty" look, check out the full video tutorial below!

No Heat Beachy Waves Hair Tutorial

Happy Friday Everyone!
Today I'm sharing with you all my method for creating easy, volumized, beachy waves with absolutely ZERO heat. If you have stick straight hair like me, you know that getting a beachy textured look can be a big challenge. For such an easy-going hairstyle, it's usually pretty complicated (and fussy) for us to replicate- usually using curling irons and tons of product (which usually just gets crunchy and falls flat in an hour).

Well this method gives you great results with hardly any effort. It's seriously so easy, you won't believe it. All the work is done for you overnight!  This volumized, wavy look will seriously last until you wash it out.

So right in time for the weekend (and hopefully for some warm and beautiful weather where you live), here is one of my favorite summertime hair tutorials. I hope you love it!

Chocolate Bar Palette Tutorial & Review- Candied Violet

Hello and happy Monday, everyone!  I hope you all are having a great start to your week!

I've been loving my new Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette so much that I couldn't resist doing a look with it today for you all. I sort of combined this video with a small review for the palette as well, but since that was a bit brief, I thought we'd get a bit more in-depth here.  So after we talk all things Chocolate Bar Palette, be sure to check out the tutorial at the bottom of the post!

We'll start with the photos...

I actually love the packaging. It's metal and easy to open and close due to the magnetic closure. I prefer that rather than having a clunky snap closure *cough* Naked 2 and 3 palettes *cough*. Plus the outer little "chocolate bar" design is just too darn cute.

When you open the palette, the yummy cocoa powder, chocolatey smell is really apparent (one of the ingredients is actually real cocoa powder). It's not a gross, fake chocolate smell, but rather a really yummy scent that actually makes me look forward to opening it and using it everyday. It's just a fun little extra.

Inside, there are 16 individual colors, with a removable little transparent sheet with the shade names on it. I like that it totally removes.

Here's a better look at the shades...

I love the variety. I'll admit, when this first came out, I was intrigued (because we all know how I feel about good neutrals), but I resisted for a while. I'm SO happy I actually caved and picked one up. We all know I have a ridiculous amount of eye shadows and palettes, so even though I continue to purchase new ones and try them out, sometimes, even when the quality is amazing, I always feel like I can replicate them.
This one is different. For one, it has everything I need in one palette. Perfect shades of brown, perfect highlighting shades, gorgeous shimmery shades, and a few shades in colors that "pop". Aside from the color selection, the actual quality is wonderful.  And we all know how I feel about that intoxicating chocolate scent...

Here are some swatches...

Pretty right?? What do you guys think about this one?

So here is my first tutorial using this palette. There are SO many looks I want to share with this one. Look for another one coming up soon!

Eye Brightening Smokey Makeup Tutorial

Apparently this week I've been majorly in the mood to do tutorials... because today I'm back with another!  This one is unique in that it is a smokey eye that actually makes your eyes appear brighter and more awake.

While dark, smokey eyes are beautiful (and some of my favorites where makeup looks are concerned), they can be a bit enclosing.  At times, they can also make your eyes actually appear smaller.
So in this video, I'm going to show you how to avoid all that, while still keeping the beautiful dark and smokey intensity of the deep eye shadow colors and liners used.

Oh, and I busted out my IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol.1 Matte (that's a mouthful) palette again!
If you missed the first tutorial using this palette earlier this week, check that out here and get all the details about the palette (swatches, etc.) in this recent post here.
It's seriously SO versatile.

So don't miss the video below for the full tutorial! I hope you all love it!!

Fresh Spring Makeup Tutorial

I'm SO in love with the IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty palette.  The colors, the quality... everything. I've been using it pretty much exclusively since I got it a few weeks back and I can honestly say the quality is unmatched to ANYTHING else I own. I know that's a pretty big statement, but seriously the shades seem to blend themselves.
I'm also obsessed with the actual colors. There are so many possibilities with this one. I love how they included a nice mix of more natural shades as well as some purple, coral, and blue.  All while keeping the shades incredibly pigmented, yet wearable.
This isn't really going to be a huge post reviewing the palette itself (look for a swatch post here on Thursday), however I do give a little overview/review at the beginning of the video below before the tutorial.

For this look, I wanted to create a sort of "wear anywhere" Spring look.  I kept with my favorite actual eye shadow placement that works for any look really, while using colors other than the typical browns.

Fluttery, natural lashes, clean liner, and a a pretty blend of brightening mauves and purples on the lid paired with baby pink lips and a glow of peach on the cheek all come together to create a really bright-eyed, put-together look that is also a bit fun for Spring.  I hope you enjoy it!

My "Go-To" FULL Makeup Tutorial- Winged Liner, Natural Eye

Today I'm bringing you another one of my absolute favorite makeup looks. I would definitely call this my "go-to" look.  Maybe even a signature look? When I do my makeup, I usually go for a few things, no matter what products I use: a natural-toned eye, winged liner, pink-peach lips, and perfected brows and skin.

This is definitely the type of look that I wear 90% of the time.  If you look back at my videos over the past 6 years, most of the time this is the type of look I'm wearing (aside from specific tutorials).  I also recently posted my "go-to" smokey eye in this post

To me, this look is easy, it's flattering on everyone, and it can be replicated with various products. These are the ones I used:

**Colleen Rothschild 20% off code-- "Tiffany20" through March 7th, 2014**

How I Highlight & Contour- Easy & Natural

Highlighting and contouring can sound scary to some...

We've all seen the scary diagrams using super dark and scarily white products.  Sure you can get really great results that way, but on the daily, I'm not applying tons of extra products to my skin and spending all that time "painting" my face.
There are SO many ways to get a great result using various products, but I really prefer a highlight and contour routine that just blends super easily (no pun intended) into my everyday routine.

So I feel like my method is super realistic... Meaning I use products that sort of "do double" so I'm not adding a ton of extras, while still getting the same results.

I hope you guys find this helpful and drop the intimidation that can come with this technique. There are so many ways to do it!  This way is just my favorite way to incorporate it into my routine on the daily.
Hope you like it!
