Weekends (especially warm weather weekends) are all about fun, relaxation, and casual dressing. The last thing I want to do is spend any unnecessary time putting together fussy outfits. That's why having great basics to choose from is a must.
That's how I start any outfit. A good basic (or two), then I throw in something a little different or unexpected.
But then there are those basics that are reeeally good. The ones that you can actually make an entire outfit out of. No fussy extras. Just un-fussy goodness.
...A soft, easy-going white tee, a good pair of distressed jeans, a braided leather belt, strappy brown sandals, simple jewelry, and a classic bag... Oh, and some classic cat-eye sunglasses never hurt. Brad said they make me look like Audrey Hepburn. His words. I'll take it.
I recently discovered the BEST place to buy basic tops (super affordable too). Everlane is an online-based company that sells really well-made basic tops for crazy affordable prices. I've fallen in love with the "Ryan Pocket Tee". That's what I'm wearing in this post...

Super easy, nothing overly-trendy... Proof that sometimes, you can put together the right basics and come up with a look that makes just as much of a statement. Maybe the un-fussiness is the statement....
I just know it's my favorite way to dress and like it.
