Quick Fix for Dry, Flaky Skin

With the dry winter weather, flakiness and dry skin can happen to us all- no matter our skin type. I know we've all had the experience where we've done our makeup completely, then you notice a bit of flakiness in certain areas of your face. SO frustrating because the only option to fix this problem is to remove your makeup. SO not the case! I discovered this awesome trick after dealing with this problem myself occasionally during this dry winter weather. Check out the video below for my tips!

*Keep in mind, if you don't have a makeup setting spray like the one I used in the video, substitute a light moisturizer. Follow the same steps, except dab a light moisturizer onto the back of your hand, dip the brush in it *lightly* and then follow the rest of the steps in the video. Keep in mind, to keep your makeup in tact, you'll need to be extra careful and use a VERY light hand. Works every time! :)
MERRY CHRISTMAS! xo- Tiffany

SOLID GLITTER Glittery Accent Nails

Chanel Particuliere nail polish/ MAC Glitter in Reflects Antiqued Gold

So I've decided to officially jump on the one-glitter-nail bandwagon. Problem with this for me in the past is that if I wanted an "accent" glittered nail, I wanted it to be mega, super, ridiculously glittery. If you've ever searched for a nail polish to do that with, you feel my frustration. To get that solid, super ridic glitter effect from a glitter nail polish, you might need a few coats. Resulting in what normally turns out for me to be a super thick, messy, lumpy, (still not glittery enough) nail. So I have found a perfect way to get a super pretty, solid-glitter, perfect accent nail...using.....actual glitter. You can get super fine or chunky glitter at the craft store which can be an affordable option that works perfectly, or you can do what I did and use those MAC glitters that you bought because they were super pretty but they've ended up in the back of your drawer because you never use them. Sounds messy, but I swear it's not. And it's easier and faster than using tons of coats of glitter nail polish. And did I mention the results are insane??
Here's what to do:
1. Paint all of your nails a normal non-glittery color.
2. Pick an "accent" nail for the glitter (Or go crazy and do all of them...your call.)
3. Use a thick top coat like Seche Vite and paint that over the nail to be glittered.
4. Working over a paper plate or bowl, gently dip the nail into the glitter or sprinkle the glitter directly over the nail (like I did in this case because the container was too small for dipping action).
5. Let the glitter "set" for a minute or two, giving the Seche Vite or whatever you've chosen time to dry.
6. Rinse the nail under cold water to get any excess glitter off the nail. Don't worry, if it's cold water, it won't mess anything up.
7. Paint another coat of the Seche Vite or topcoat of your choice over the glitter.

The process seriously takes as little as a couple minutes. It's my new favorite trick! Here's another tip though... If you're planning on doing this a lot, invest in another bottle of Seche Vite or whatever type of topcoat you like that will be designated just for glitter. Occasionally, a fleck of glitter can find it's way into the bottle of topcoat and will most likely end up back on your nails when you don't necessarily want that random glitter flecked look. It'll be worth it, trust me. :)
Hope you guys try this out! It's so fun!

Tiffany's Flawless & Natural Foundation Routine

Where makeup is concerned, getting your foundation "right" is possibly the most important thing to master. I find the most difficult task (other than finding your correct shade which is a totally different story...) is finding a good combination of products that gives great coverage, yet looks natural. These are the products that do exactly that for me. Check out the video below to see how I apply these products step by step (and see me without ANY makeup...EEK).

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ liquid foundation in #40

MAC Disney Venomous Villains! My Haul in Pictures and a Video Review/Swatches!...

I'm so glad I was able to make it to the MAC Venomous Villains collection early release party. Being a total Disney fan (and always kind of having an obsession with the villains) I went for the idea of the collection... not for the actual products. I know, shame on me. But I ended up leaving with quite a bit and finding some great things! Here are pictures of what I purchased. Be sure to check out my video as well (posted below) for more in-depth info, swatches, etc. Enjoy!
-Tiffany

This collection was split between four Disney Villains: Maleficent, The Evil Queen, Cruella De-Vil, and Dr. Facilier. I didn't purchase every item from the collection. These are just the items that stood out to me.

...Yeah, so Dr. Facilier got no love from me. Had all the pigments, wasn't in to the "magic"-cooling-bronze loose powders. Those sound like a disaster waiting to happen with me. I was thinking about getting the Lipgelee with his full-body image plastered all over it, but I didn't want to buy it just to buy it...haha. Serious question though.... Where was Ursula and Jafar?? He wore eyeliner right? ...and Ursula liked her lipstick.

Judging by the majority of questions I've received over the past few years, it seems that many of you simply want to solve a few common problems around the eye area. Whether it's brightening up tired eyes and making them look more awake, enlarging smaller eyes, or generally wanting a more flattering, brighter, larger eye appearance. There are so many makeup tricks you can use to do this. Check out the video below to see my favorite ones!
