Updated Easy Eyebrow Tutorial

I've always said that eyebrows are one of the most important features on your face. The tricky part about getting them "just right"? Everyone's are TOTALLY different.
...and that's for a good reason.
Because everyone has different face shapes, features, etc., eyebrows come in all shapes and sizes to complement each individual's facial features. They sort of pull everything together. For that reason, I always recommend that people embrace their natural brow shape. Full or thin, straight or arched. However, you can definitely "clean up" and enhance the brows you have by following a few simple tips and using some of my favorite, "must-have" brow products.

Check out my video below for all the juicy brow details...

Long Time, No LUSH....

What is it with me and LUSH? I LOVE LUSH. But I don't shop there often.

Maybe it has something to do with my giant pretty apothecary jar stashed with bath bombs waiting to be used...
Which I shamefully change out with seasonal LUSH things depending on the time of year.

Or maybe it has to do with my even more shameful storage drawer container designated just for my LUSH stash. I keep it in my closet because it makes it smell so nice. Bonus.
Yeah. I'm thinking it has more to do with the latter.

When we bought our home, I have to admit, the giant garden tub was a huge selling point for me. Why? Because from the time I saw it, I imagined myself taking LUSH baths EVERY SINGLE DAY. Did that happen? No. I'm more of a shower gal...
Is it too late to make a new resolution for 2012? Use up my LUSH stuff and take more baths. Shouldn't be too hard to stick to.

So now that I've shared all my dirty LUSH secrets, this post seems even more ridiculous.

My question to you... HOW do you all stash your unused LUSH things? Are you like me and end up mysteriously acquiring shameful amounts of the stuff? Are you even more like me and keep buying it anyway?

Ok, so just watch my LUSH Haul video below to see the new unnecessary things I purchased...

Tiffany

My Must-Have Makeup Brushes

I get SO many questions about makeup brushes.
...and rightfully, so. Seriously, there are SO many different types. If you're not super familiar with them or are just starting to build your collection, it can be very confusing.
So I thought I'd put together this video showing you all my personal favorites. The ones that usually never leave my vanity table. My favorites for eye shadow, foundation, etc.
In the video below, I show you all this, and describe what I use each one for. Hope you enjoy!

Tiffany

Waylon's 1st Birthday

What's sweeter than a puppy in a party hat?
Not much.

Today, we celebrated Waylon's 1st birthday! When I say celebrated, I basically mean that we slapped a party hat on our poor Golden Retriever (which he surprisingly had little aversion to), watched him flip out over a new steak chew toy (which he only played with/destroyed for 30 minutes before it had a hole in it and had to be taken away), and let him get down on some Frosty Paws peanut butter flavored ice cream for dogs. Which he went CRAZY over.
Since we all know Waylon is really the star of this show, here are some sweet pics I took with my iPhone of his first birthday!

xoxo,
Tiffany

OH and thank you guys for the countless birthday wishes so many of you sent Waylon's way on twitter today. He was super flattered. ;)

The Magical Contouring Technique

So have I ever mentioned makeup is basically magic? No? Well it is.
In my highlighting video, I showed you guys how to accent and shape features of your face and add a healthy glow by applying lighter shades to certain areas. Well, the technique of contouring allows you to sort of sculpt your face by adding a darker shade to areas of the face that you wish to recede. With contouring, you can add the appearance of more pronounced cheekbones to a round face, slim your nose, even hide a double chin. Seriously.
Sound confusing? It's really simple and easy, I promise.
Follow my steps in the video below and you'll be a pro in no time.

Oh and don't forget to check out Sigma Beauty for my absolute must-have contouring brush, the F05, that I mentioned in the video.

Tiffany

Flawless Date Makeup: Kissable Lips, Glowing Skin, Mesmerizing Eyes

Happy LOVE MONTH everyone! Well, it's "love month" for me at least. My husband and I celebrate our wedding anniversary in February along with Valentine's Day. Oh, and we can't leave out Waylon's first birthday on the 24th! (our Golden Retriever)

I wanted to do a fun look that would be perfect for a date. I happened to wear this exact look when my husband and I went out for our anniversary last week. Natural, kissable lips, glowy and flushed cheeks, and mesmerizing eyes. What could be better, right?

You seriously can't go wrong with this look. Over my past (almost 4!) years on YouTube, I've done my share of Valentine's Day and "flirty" date night tutorials that have a common element. Pink eyeshadow used in some way. You don't have to go the typical "soft pink eyeshadow" route just because it's V-Day. I personally think it's a little sexier to use natural shades on the lids and go for pink on other areas of the face. I went for natural lips and pink cheeks.
Seriously, you can't go wrong with this look.
Besides, your date should be looking at you and not your makeup, right?

How to Highlight & My Fav Highlighting Products

Ok so how did this post slip through the cracks??
I totally thought I did this to accompany my Highlighting video when I posted it. Apparently not.
Anyhow, here it is.
Highlighting is one of those "fine line" matters. In that there is a very fine line between "candle-lit and glowy" and "disco ball frost explosion". Sounds dramatic, but it's true my friends. You also have to be careful considering that heavily frosted products (like so many highlighting products are) will do nothing but emphasize pores and fine lines when applied over them. So it's like a double "fine line" matter. ha. ha.
...Anywayyy, check out the video below for lots of my tips on how to avoid these highlighting pitfalls and to get glowy, angelic skin and to emphasize your best features by highlighting.
But first, here are my list of favorite highlighting products mentioned in the video.

Sigma F35 brush
MAC Carefree Pro Longwear Eye Shadow
MAC Shape Powder in Emphasize
MAC Cream Colour Base in Pearl
MAC Cream Colour Base in Hush
Sigma F05 brush
Sigma F40 brush
Benefit High Beam
Tarina Terantino Pearl Glow Primer
Loreal Magic Lumi Primer
Guerlain Meteorites Pressed Powder (or the loose beads)
Sigma F50 brush
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder

Sofia Vergara's Golden Globe Simple Smoky Makeup Tutorial

Did any of you watch the Golden Globes this year? I have to admit, like most of you, I watch primarily for the fashion and makeup.
One look that really wow-ed me this year was Sofia Vergara. She wore the most beautiful navy dress paired with a brown smoky eye and fuchsia lips.
The makeup is classic, versatile, and so easy, you'll flip. I literally used one brown for the look, paired with a highlight shade. Super simple, yet super sexy and flattering. Love it.
