Although this collection of eyeshadows came out last week, this new formula is a part of the permanent line, so you can definitely get your hands on them if you're interested.

Each palette contains 5 shades. The formula is described by MAC as as being a "creamy and lightweight hybrid offering two distinctive effects: applied wet for a super saturation of color that glistens with metallic brilliance, or dry for sheer coverage with a soft, sparkling finish."
While I think some of the shades that look a bit less metallic are actually very soft and pigmented, some of the more metallic shades come off as a bit flaky and less pigmented.
I swatched each palette both dry and wet, and with most of these shades, I definitely think applying them wet is the way to go.

Brownluxe
Greenluxe
Bleuluxe
*I got a bit ahead of myself while swatching, so on the "wet" swatch, the last two colors are switched. |
So what are your thoughts?? My least favorite of the whole bunch is the Pastelluxe. It looks gorgeous in the container, but I find that it's a bit chunky. Applying them wet really didn't make a huge difference, either.
Strangely, the Bleuluxe really didn't appear different at all swatched wet compared to dry. My favorites from this collection out of the products I have are definitely the Brownluxe and Greenluxe. The shades are really pigmented, wet or dry, and most of the shades apply very smooth.
What stands out to you? Have you guys picked up any of these yet??
