Teal & Coral Summer Look: Paris & Dior

While I'm probably more known for creating "wearable" looks, that doesn't mean they all have to be neutral or natural colors.
My philosophy is that ANY colors can be wearable. It's all in how you apply them.
I give you: Teal & coral eye shadow.  Immediate thought? A colorful, super daring look.
My take? Equally fun and colorful, but wearable, put-together, and even sophisticated.  It's actually SO easy to make a color combo like this wearable. For this, I did it by adding a bit of brown and combining the colors in a more put-together and flattering way. You can easily do it too! Check out the products used below as well as a step-by-step video tutorial on the full look below.

My BLUSH Favs for Spring/Summer

Blush can really pull your whole look together and make you look more "alive". The other night, my family was over at my house and I was showing my Mom and Grandma the Paris Palette.  While explaining the colors to my Grandma and giving her some ideas for how she could use the colors and make them work for her, I immediately whipped out the F40 brush in her palette and applied a bit of the Peche shade to her cheeks and showed her how to use the highlight shade, Lumiere, with it and her face lit up.  It was amazing what a difference the blush made.
So while I've always L*O*V*E*D blush and been a bit obsessed with it (I have a shamefully large collection to prove it), that experience with my Grandma sparked the idea to do a "Favorite Blush" video. Funny enough, when I went to check out the shades I would include in the video, they were kind of all sitting on my vanity already.  What they all had in common? All were shades perfectly suited for Spring and Summer.
Here are my favs mentioned in the video.  Don't forget to check out my video for more info on the products as well as some demos on how to apply them.

MAC "Hey, Sailor!" Collection - Swatches & a Video

As I do with most new MAC collections, I've received a good bit of items from the new Hey, Sailor! collection from MAC to share with you all.
This is a true Summer collection- from bronzers, bright lip colors, sandy and water-colored eye shadows, to shimmering body oils. It kind of had me when I opened the box.
While I can appreciate a great collection of brights and extremely "out-there" colors (unique, but may not get much wear out of me), I'm most surprised by collections that truly have something to offer everyone. Trendy and "of the moment", while still looking put-together and grown up. I haven't said that about a MAC collection in a while.
Out of the items I have in the collection, I was surprised by a few things. Really wearable and gorgeous bronzers I can totally see myself wearing everyday, an amazing (maybe even favorite worthy) blush shade, Suntints (love), and two long-wearing lip liners that are really unique.
Oh and don't get me started on Seaside Body Oil...  Love.  The key is wearing it outdoors. When the sunlight hits it, it's amazing, people. It's coming to the beach with me in a few weeks for sure. ;)
Of course, out of the items I tried, there was a "miss".  Just one though.  The High-Light Powder in Crew. Just doesn't do it for me and comes off more as a pink rather than a highlight.
I'll be sure to put stars next to my favorite items from the collection below to make things easier.

Check out my swatch photos below of my items I have from the collection as well as my video where I give you my first impressions and more thoughts on the products.

xoxo,
Tiffany

A Few Paris Trip Photos...

In honor of the Paris Palette releasing this week, I figured it was FINALLY time to post some of my many personal photos from my trip to Paris.

This trip was truly amazing. Last September, I traveled to Paris with Sigma Beauty and six other beauty gurus to gather inspiration to create our own shade in this beautiful palette that would be totally inspired by the city.  I'm so happy with how it turned out!

For all Paris Palette info, discount code details, swatch photos, etc, click here.

Also, check out my two NEW videos featuring the Paris Palette below:

Also be sure to check out my interview about the experience of developing the project in Paris here.

Hope you guys enjoy the photos! They bring back such wonderful memories.
